The community cardiac rehabilitation team are seeking to appoint an experienced exercise instructor. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our existing exercise instructor and cardiac rehabilitation team to monitor and support patients during exercise programmes.
This is a county-wide service so the post holder will require a degree of flexibility and will be required to cover Taunton, Bridgwater, Wells and other locations as required to meet the needs of the service.
The post holder will support and help to lead exercise programmes for cardiac rehabilitation consisting of individualised exercise prescription for patients with a wide variety of cardiac conditions. You will offer specialist advice, education and support relating to exercise and physical activity post cardiac event for patients, carers and other health care professionals.
The post holder will contribute to the design of the exercise component of the programme taking into account a range of abilities and co-morbidities. You will support the organisation and delivery of other aspects of cardiac rehabilitation.
