St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a dedicated and proactive Lead Pharmacist in Medication Safety and Governance to enhance pharmacy services and medication safety across the organisation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in implementing medication safety projects, monitoring medication practices, and evaluating safety measures for the pharmacy department and the broader Trust. This position requires exceptional communication skills to train and guide multidisciplinary teams, alongside a commitment to driving improvements in medication safety.

The role also involves reviewing medication-related incidents, raising awareness of medication risk governance, and contributing to education and training in medication safety for pharmacy staff and colleagues. The Lead Pharmacist will support the Principal Pharmacist in overseeing clinical governance policies, participate in research initiatives, and ensure compliance with Care Quality Commission standards through audits and quality improvement projects.
