The Clinical Fellow in Critical Care Medicine position at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involves serving in the Critical Care Unit at University Hospital Aintree from February 5 to August 5, 2025. This role is ideal for individuals with prior anaesthetic and intensive care experience seeking to enhance their skills in managing critically ill patients, aiming for future specialisation in Anaesthesia or Intensive Care Medicine. The successful candidate will work under Consultant supervision and be integrated into a collaborative team dedicated to high-quality patient care, with opportunities for involvement in teaching, clinical governance, research, and quality improvement.

This full-time position includes a full shift rota and requires the fellow to be resident during working hours, as well as to adhere to GMC registration standards and Trust policies. While not formally recognized for training, the role offers educational support and an appointed Educational Supervisor for ongoing professional development. Responsibilities encompass patient assessment, resuscitation, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to health safety and infection control practices, all while maintaining a professional portfolio. The role also involves participation in departmental clinical governance and audit activities, alongside regular educational meetings.
