The Kite Practitioner role at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in Abergele seeks a creative and experienced professional, such as an occupational therapist, social worker, mental health nurse, or children’s nurse, with a background in child and adolescent mental health. The position involves working within the Kite Intensive Community Support Team, which provides intensive support to young people aged 12 to 18 across North Wales facing acute and complex mental health challenges. Practitioners will collaborate closely with community CAMHS and inpatient services to offer assessments, interventions, and treatment plans, ensuring effective communication and teamwork with families and other professionals.

Candidates should be highly motivated to enhance the mental health of young people and will have the opportunity to develop their skills within a dynamic team. Responsibilities include assessing nursing care needs, maintaining patient records, contributing to care planning, and ensuring high-quality clinical care. The role requires a valid driving license, as travel across North Wales is necessary. Proficiency in Welsh is desirable but not mandatory.
