Care In Mind is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to join their team at Florida House, a newly renovated home in Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston. The role offers a full-time position (37.5 hours/week) or part-time (20 hours/week) with a salary range of £23,400 - £24,433.50, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support young people with various mental health challenges, helping them develop life skills, engage in education, and foster independence.
  • Maintain accurate records, administer medication, and contribute to a tidy, homely environment.
  • Engage in activities and adventures with the young residents, promoting social skills and personal growth.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic IT proficiency.
  • An understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Care or similar.
  • Previous experience working with young people with mental health needs.
