The Pharmacy Dispensary Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the dispensary, ensuring it runs safely and efficiently. The role requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage a team of Pharmacy Support Workers, provide training, and ensure effective stock control and housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate dispensary functions and manage staff tasks to prioritize work effectively.
- Supervise, train, and support dispensary staff, ensuring clear communication and direction.
- Manage dispensary rotas, convene team meetings, oversee activities, and coordinate medication deliveries.
- Handle the ordering, receipt, distribution, and dispensing of medicines, while addressing queries.
- Line manage Pharmacy Support Workers and support their development.
- Participate in weekend and bank holiday shifts on a rotational basis.
Candidates should ideally be experienced pharmacy dispensary assistants or registered pharmacy technicians. The role offers opportunities for professional development and requires travel between Trust sites. Standard working hours are from 9am to 5pm. Informal inquiries are welcome.

Duties will also include the ordering, receipt and distribution of medicines, dispensing medicines, and dealing with any queries.
The post holder will be responsible for the line management of a team of Pharmacy Support Workers and will induct, supervise, train and develop other staff within the team. They will be required to lead by example and work accurately under pressure. The post holder will also be required to participate in the weekend and Bank Holiday working on a rotational basis.

You will be supported in your role by the Lead Pharmacy Technician for Medicines Supply, the Pharmacy Business Support/Operations Manager and the wider team and have plenty of opportunities to develop through the varied experience and training provided.
The post holder must be able to travel between Trust sites. Our standard working hours are 9am 5pm and there will be a weekend and bank holiday commitment.

The postholder will:
