This role is based at The London Clinic in Central London, W1G 7JL. Job Profile We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Biomedical Scientist to join the Haematology team. As a Senior Biomedical Scientist, you will support the Chief BMS in providing an efficient and effective service and will work alongside Blood Sciences team members and leaders to cultivate and maintain a culture in which staff are continuously improving to deliver a high quality, efficient and effective service. Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, shifts between 08:00 - 20:00 hrs Mon - Friday in line with the departmental roster (to participate in Saturday rota as required). Salary: £52,797 - £61,466. Inclusive per annum depended on skills and experience. Benefits package: Contributory pension scheme (total annual contribution up to 20%). Key Duties Supervise in the sections appropriate and carry out as well as manage the technical and scientific tasks within the team. Oversee and support equipment maintenance and development of the Quality, Learning and Health and safety Management Systems within designated work area. Carry out / supervise technical and scientific work in the laboratory under the direction of the Chief Biomedical Scientist or Consultant Work alongside Blood Sciences team members and leaders to cultivate and maintain a culture in which staff are continuously improving to deliver a high quality, efficient and effective service Skills & Experience HCPC post- registration Blood Sciences laboratory experience Experience of UKAS requirements Comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of Haematology Good understanding of quality management systems and ISO standards Previous experience in Haematology of at least 5 years Blood Film morphology and Parasitology experience The London Clinic has charitable status which is fundamental to our identity and how we operate, enabling our teams to invest in treatments, technology and facilities that benefit our patients, staff and the wider community.
