Hingham Surgery is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic medical receptionist for a full-time position, requiring 37.5 hours per week over five days, with shifts varying between 7:30 AM and 8:00 PM. The role is essential for enhancing patient experiences by assisting with access to services, addressing queries in person, online, and via phone. Candidates should possess strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and must be able to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced general practice environment.

Hingham Surgery has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive medical receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis for 37.5 hours per week over 5 days - working hours depending on candidate availability, will be across the hours of 7.30am to 8.00pm.

The receptionist plays a pivotal role in the experience of patients at our practice, helping them to access the right services and dealing with their queries face-to-face, online and by telephone. General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and offers excellent communication skills.

Ability to work in a polite, confidential and discreet manner, respecting patients and colleagues at all times.
Experience of working with the general public, being sensitive and empathic.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Strong IT and administration skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable.

Some flexibility is required, as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
