An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cancer MDT Co-ordinator to join the Cancer Team at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts.
The job will be based at Clatterbridge Hospital but will involve cross site working between Clatterbridge Hospital and Arrowe Park Hospital.
The working pattern will be Tuesday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Each day will include a half hour unpaid break.
- Track patients with a suspicion of or diagnosis of cancer throughout their journey from referral to treatment
- Follow up any diagnostic testing and ensure the appropriate staffing are aware of the patient pathway
- Ensure all tracking is up to date daily and validate the patient pathway
- Add new patient referrals to the Somerset Cancer Register daily
- Work closely with information services and clinical areas to monitor cancer waiting times
- Ensure all patients are seen within the appropriate timescale in order to meet national standards by liaising with clinicians, nurses and administrative staff regarding the patient pathway
- Highlight potential breaches at weekly divisional PTL meeting
- Ensure actions from the weekly PTL meeting are completed and updated
- Ensure all casenotes and relevant paperwork are available at MDT meeting
