The role of Locum Consultant in Gastroenterology at Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is a 6-month fixed-term position offering 10 Programmed Activities (PA). The consultant will provide both inpatient and outpatient services in general gastroenterology, hepatology, and endoscopy, and will also participate in general medicine on call, managing admitted medical inpatients who are not assigned to other teams. Based primarily at the St. Helier site, the position includes responsibilities such as conducting two outpatient clinics and two endoscopy sessions weekly, with specific job plans to be discussed and reviewed during the appointment process.

This post is a 6 month fixed term post for a 10PA consultant in Gastroenterology and General Medicine following a review of the service demand. The post-holder will provide inpatient and outpatient general gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy services. The post-holder will also be participating in general medicine on call which includes ongoing care of admitted medical inpatients who have not been triaged to other medical teams. This role is to work within the St. Helier site for Epsom and St. Helier NHS trust.

The proposed job plan for this post is to undertake 2 outpatient clinics weekly as well as 2 endoscopy sessions. This will be discussed in detail with the post holder on appointment. Job plans will be reviewed, following an appraisal meeting.
