West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Admin Assistant for the Community Diagnostics Center (CDC) in Newmarket, set to open in late 2024. The role involves supporting the reception desk, facilitating the smooth operation of patient appointments for various diagnostic imaging services, including X-rays and ultrasounds. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, assisting them with self check-in kiosks, providing information on procedures, and ensuring a pleasant and professional experience as they navigate through the unit.

The position requires proficiency in the CRIS (Radiology Information System) alongside other NHS systems and involves collaboration with clinical and clerical staff within the CDC and the wider hospital network. The CDC will operate from 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays initially, with potential extended hours, necessitating staff to work on a rota basis. New hires are expected to complete a mini care certificate at the beginning of their employment. The Trust emphasises inclusivity and aims to create a supportive work environment for all staff.
