The Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is offering a 12-month position for an Oncology Clinical Fellow aimed at IMT3/ST3 level trainees seeking additional oncology experience prior to securing a National Training Number (NTN). The role involves comprehensive training in various aspects of oncology, including acute care, outpatient clinic attendance, radiotherapy planning, and participation in clinical trials. Fellows will work closely with oncology consultants and, for those qualified with MRCP, will have the opportunity to engage in on-call duties on the SPR rota.

In addition to clinical responsibilities such as patient assessment, supervising junior doctors, and supporting timely patient reviews, the fellow will contribute to the recruitment of patients for clinical trials and attend educational meetings within the department. There is also an opportunity for site specialisation and access to funding for the Oncology PGCert/PGDip, fostering both professional development and clinical excellence.
