The Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician position at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust in Nuneaton offers a full-time, fixed-term contract for 24 months, commencing in March 2025 and concluding in February 2027. The role involves a salary range of £20,379 to £21,835 per annum, with weekend, bank holiday, and late-night shifts required. This position provides an advanced apprenticeship leading to a Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills, qualifying the successful candidate to register as a pharmacy technician with the GPhC.

The successful applicant will rotate through various pharmacy activities, including inpatient and outpatient dispensing, stock distribution, and medicines management. Alongside practical training, the role necessitates attending one day per week at BMET Matthew Boulton College for theoretical studies. The role emphasises compliance with departmental policies, effective communication with healthcare professionals and patients, and participation in appraisals to develop professional competencies.
