The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and innovative 10 PA Consultant Haematologist specializing in Haemostasis and Thrombosis to join their Oxford Haemophilia and Thrombosis Centre (OHTC) team. The successful candidate will lead the haemophilia and inherited bleeding disorder services, oversee the haemostasis laboratory, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide specialized care across the Oxford Hospitals. Routine responsibilities will include conducting clinics for inherited bleeding disorders and thrombosis patients, spearheading a regional MDT for complex cases, and offering expert advice to clinicians and GPs, with a shared on-call commitment of 1 in 5.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the role involves teaching and research commitments, as the Trust is a teaching hospital. The post-holder will participate in training junior doctors and medical students, coordinate training for international healthcare professionals, and contribute to an active research portfolio focusing on clinical studies at OHTC. The position emphasises engagement in clinical governance, quality improvement, and the overall enhancement of the haemostasis and thrombosis service. The role will primarily be based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospital but may involve work across multiple Trust locations.
