Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking enthusiastic candidates for the position of Associate Practitioner in the Clinical Chemistry Laboratories. This role involves providing high-level support to biomedical scientists by assisting in data entry, equipment maintenance, and processing blood samples on a rotational basis across both the Nottingham City Hospital Campus and The Queens Medical Centre Campus. While previous laboratory experience is beneficial, comprehensive training will be provided.

As an Associate Practitioner, responsibilities include conducting routine and non-routine tests under standard operating procedures, maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring stock control of reagents and supplies, and utilizing IT systems for documentation. Additionally, the role includes planning and organizing workload, supervising Medical Laboratory Assistants, participating in training, and conducting audits to maintain quality standards. The position requires commitment to shifts that include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, and it emphasises delivering a patient-focused, cost-effective service aligned with the Trust's objectives.
