The Assistant Capital Accountant at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust plays a vital role within the Financial Services team, reporting directly to the Strategic Capital Accountant. This position involves supporting the Trust's capital program by monitoring and reporting on capital expenditure, maintaining the asset register, and serving as a key contact for divisional leads on capital schemes. The successful candidate will also address complex financial inquiries from both finance and non-finance staff, ensure compliance with financial policies, and contribute to the timely delivery of monthly capital accounts.

In addition to these core responsibilities, the Assistant Capital Accountant will assist in training non-finance staff on financial procedures, maintain supplier relationships to resolve payment issues, and support the preparation of annual accounts while adhering to relevant financial legislation.
