The Senior Healthcare Assistant (Band 3) position at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involves rotating between The Oulton Suite and Northgate Community Diagnostic Centre in Great Yarmouth. This role encompasses both clinical and administrative responsibilities, supporting patients undergoing cardiac, sleep, and lung diagnostics. Candidates should possess a minimum of GCSE grade 4 in Mathematics and English, as well as NVQ level 3 or equivalent. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently are essential, and experience with ECGs is preferred but not mandatory.

In this role, successful candidates will assist with personal care, maintain patient dignity, ensure smooth clinic operations, conduct patient observations, and support registered healthcare professionals with various clinical tasks. They will also engage with patients and families, handle sensitive information, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to improving care services by reflecting on their practice and participating in audits. Adherence to health and safety standards and organisational policies is expected, with regular supervision and evaluation of their performance.
