The role of "Staff Nurse - Emergency Department" at Whiston Hospital with Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust seeks experienced Registered General Nurses to join a dedicated team in a state-of-the-art facility providing emergency care for both adults and children. The position requires a current NMC registration, enhanced DBS clearance, and experience in an Emergency Department. The post holder will be responsible for delivering quality patient care, assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, and acting as a triage nurse while coordinating departmental activities under senior supervision.

In addition, the role involves maintaining professional standards in line with NMC guidelines, ensuring effective communication with staff and patients, and taking part in infection control measures and departmental audits. The Staff Nurse will also play a key role in training and mentoring junior staff and nursing students, supporting their development while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the Emergency Department.
