An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Physical Healthcare Assistant to support our Advanced Clinical Practitioner team in the delivery of physical healthcare.
The post holder will preferably have prior skills in ECG acquisition, venepuncture and immunisations, working to support senior clinicians in the delivery of physical healthcare, together with demonstrating and promoting skills to staff as appropriate. There will be a requirement to provide treatment and advice on wound care together with advocacy of good health and wellbeing.Training and support will be given where needed
About usGood interpersonal skills with further clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, a basic knowledge of IT and an ability to work semi-autonomously within a team environment, are essential criteria when providing care for patients with challenging behaviours. Applicants must also be self-motivated and able to demonstrate the ability to provide high standards of care.
Knowledge and experience of working with challenging patient groups would be an advantage as you will be a role model to your team, demonstrating a flexible, individual and person centred approach.Safety and therapeutic engagementare key components of our care delivery focus andshould be a key demonstrable interest and ability required for this role.
