The Lead Clinical Coder at Practice Plus Group in Bristol will oversee a Clinical Coding Team, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and consistent clinical coding services while meeting established quality targets. The ideal candidate should possess the ACC qualification and at least 7 years of clinical coding experience, with managerial experience considered an asset. Responsibilities include coordinating the team’s efforts to meet monthly deadlines, mentoring junior staff, addressing complex coding queries, and maintaining high standards of data quality, which is crucial for the organisation’s operational and financial success.

In this role, the Lead Clinical Coder will also engage in clinical audits, manage income recovery projects, and ensure compliance with national coding standards using ICD-10 and OPCS classifications. Additionally, the role involves investigating and resolving any queries related to coded clinical data and providing critical information to support decision-making processes across the organisation.
