Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your paediatric skills? We are looking for a dietitian to join our specialist paediatric team at University Hospitals Dorset for a twelve-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave from November 2024. Perhaps you have some experience of paediatrics and would like to take the opportunity to develop your skills further.

The established and well respected paediatric dietetics team of 4 (3.2WTE) offer support to two busy children's wards and outpatient services. This role will involve working with a range of paediatric patients and their families, including those with type 1 diabetes in both in- and outpatient settings at the Poole Hospital site of UHD. Some experience of working with a paediatric caseload and/or diabetes is desirable.

The role is currently based at Poole Hospital site of UHD with monthly MDT paediatric diabetes clinics on the Royal Bournemouth Hospital site. We work very closely with the entire paediatric MDT, including consultants, specialist nurses, psychologists, ward and support staff as well as health visitors and children's community nurses.

This post offers excellent opportunities for professional and personal development. The department is committed to CPD and we offer a wide range of in-house specialist training.

We can offer flexible working patterns and working days/hours. We would be very happy to have a conversation about specific areas of interest in the speciality as well how your skill set fits with our service and your development needs.
