The Lung Support Secretary at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust will play a vital role in the Lung Unit by providing essential administrative support to a Consultant team and assisting Medical PAs and the clinical team. The successful candidate will serve as the main point of contact for patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals, managing inquiries and ensuring effective communication within the multidisciplinary team. Additionally, the role involves managing patient referrals, handling correspondence, and maintaining accurate patient records to facilitate continuity of care and uphold quality standards in cancer diagnosis and treatment.

The position emphasises the need for strong organisational and administrative skills to support the efficient functioning of the consultant firm. Responsibilities include processing patient referrals, typing and distributing clinical correspondence, and managing electronic and paper communications. The role is designed to enhance the secretarial service at the Trust, and specific duties may vary based on the size of the consultant's practice and administrative team.
