School Nurse - Bracknell with Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust in Bracknell
We're looking for a qualified part time School Nurse to join our 0-19 team in Bracknell Forest and be part of our 'Outstanding' CQC rated Trust. You'll join a welcoming dedicated team of school nurses, community nurses and support staff. We've a cohesive and integrated 01-9 service so you'll benefit from working closely with our Health Visiting colleagues. We've established strong working relationships with the local schools that you'll visit on rotation. You'll manage your own independent caseload and your work will include: Conducting drop-in sessions on rotation at targeted schools Completing health assessments for children in care Attending safeguarding conferences Working with other teams and agencies You'll be passionate about working with young people. You'll find we value your enthusiasm, strong people skills and that we encourage your professional development. There is opportunity within the team to pursue special interests. This is a permanent part time role for 30 hours, 4 days week within our service hours of 9am-5pm, Monday - Friday. Term time only can also be considered. Conduct drop-in sessions at assigned primary and secondary schools. Independently manage a caseload, addressing children's health needs using evidence-based practices. Perform in-depth health assessments for Children in Care, those with Child Protection Plans, and other vulnerable children, following Berkshire LSCB policies. Ensure efficient use of team resources through effective delegation and resource management. Provide targeted health interventions for children and young people with specific health needs. Lead and manage to uphold high standards of care and clinical excellence. About us The must haves for this role: A registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) in School Nursing and active on the NMC register High standard of clinical work and ability to develop andmaintaintrusting relationships with children/young people. A degree of agility and the ability to carry/manoeuvre light to moderate loads.
