The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Health Improvement Practitioner Specialist to join their Bowel Cancer Screening Team. Based primarily at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, the role requires the practitioner to work at several locations, including The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford and various community sites. The incumbent will autonomously address health inequalities and promote bowel cancer screening, focusing on delivering high-quality services to the residents of Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin. Responsibilities include demonstrating improvements in key performance indicators, auditing work, presenting findings to team members and external stakeholders, and fostering partnerships with various agencies to enhance outreach efforts, particularly for hard-to-reach populations.

This position emphasises effective communication and collaboration with healthcare professionals and community organisations to promote awareness of bowel cancer screening, aligning with the NHS's goals for early detection and diagnosis of cancer. The successful candidate will contribute to the team's mission of providing exceptional care while addressing critical health disparities within the community.
