Provide support to the Ward Manager to ensure effective day-to-day operational management of the ward.

We are looking for a positive, friendly, hardworking, and motivated nurse with experience in paediatric medical specialties and Leadership to join our team on a 37.5 hours per week basis working both day and night shifts as required.
The band 6 sister/charge nurse will support the child and family throughout their treatment ensuring patient safety and patient experience.
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the ward supporting staff development, performance and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will have paediatric medical specialties nursing experience and will be able to demonstrate team management skills which facilitate change and improvement to meet local and Trust objectives. Knowledge and understanding of the Band 6 job description will be evident and you will be able to discuss this role in the context of how you would apply yourself to it.
