The Head of Neuropsychology at North Bristol NHS Trust is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the clinical neuropsychology service and ensuring its quality and safety. The ideal candidate is an experienced Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist listed on the British Psychological Society's Specialist Register. This position involves managing approximately 20 staff members, collaborating with other departments to deliver effective services, and engaging with educational partners, including the University of Bristol, for training initiatives. Additionally, the role requires financial oversight to ensure service viability and participation in strategic planning to meet broader NHS goals.

Based at the Southmead hospital site, the Head of Neuropsychology will be accountable for service development, addressing service needs beyond the immediate department, and representing neuropsychology within the Trust and to external stakeholders. The position also includes responsibilities for managing training and supervision requirements, supporting departmental staff, and contributing to the sustainability and efficiency of the neuropsychology services across the region.
