NHS ON-CALL ROLE MODEL WEEKEND
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic and motivated Band 6 Senior Radiographer to join their team at the Salford satellite Radiotherapy Centre. This role involves delivering both radical and palliative radiotherapy to around 80 patients daily, utilizing advanced equipment such as a CT simulator and Elekta Versa HD Linacs within an IMPAC MOSAIQ environment. The Senior Radiographer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations in designated treatment areas, ensuring accurate treatment delivery and optimal patient care while maintaining safety standards and compliance with regulatory frameworks.

In this position, the successful candidate will rotate between treatment and pre-treatment areas, enhancing their skills along the patient care pathway. Key responsibilities include managing complex radiotherapy equipment, evaluating treatment protocols, maintaining detailed patient records, and providing support and information to patients and their families. Additionally, they will lead and supervise junior staff, contribute to training and development initiatives, and partake in quality management processes within the department while adhering to health and safety regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, teamwork, and a commitment to high professional standards in a patient-centered environment.
