The Clinical Lead (Neonatal and Infant Dysphagia) position at Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust in Gloucester seeks an experienced and motivated individual to oversee the provision of specialized assessment and treatment for infants and children with feeding difficulties. The role involves developing the feeding service, supporting clinicians in Neonatal Units (NNU) and community settings, and leading a team of Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs). The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a larger team, providing clinical supervision, training to staff, and maintaining adherence to the latest evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines.

As an autonomous practitioner, the Clinical Lead will manage a specialist caseload, coordinate care plans with multi-disciplinary teams, and deliver compassionate, high-quality speech and language services. The role also includes writing detailed reports, evaluating treatment outcomes, and maintaining sensitivity to the emotional challenges faced by families. This position offers opportunities for professional development through team meetings, continuing professional development (CPD) sessions, and collaboration across various health services.
