NHS Devon is seeking an Assistant Director of Women & Children’s services to lead the commissioning team focused on delivering high-quality care and outcomes for women and children across Devon. This role entails providing clinical, professional, and managerial leadership while ensuring effective governance in line with the NHS constitution. The successful candidate will have a significant background in senior leadership and will oversee key workstreams including community health, mental health, paediatrics, maternity, and learning disabilities, fostering collaboration with local authorities, healthcare providers, and voluntary organisations.

As a senior member of the Integrated Care Board (ICB), the Assistant Director will be responsible for strategy implementation, policy development, and managing a team while maintaining strong partnerships within the healthcare system. They will also monitor the progress of strategic initiatives and ensure the delivery of key programs within set timelines. This role requires flexibility to work across different teams to meet business needs, with objectives subject to regular review to align with organisational priorities.
