The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Oncologist specializing in Upper GI/Colorectal to join the Lingen Davies Cancer Centre team at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. This position involves providing comprehensive oncology services alongside a group of seven consultant oncologists, with responsibilities including collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, outpatient service participation, and acute oncology care. The role also includes supervising junior medical staff, engaging in teaching and research, and contributing to clinical audits and medical education.

Candidates may apply for full-time or part-time positions, and the role includes 10 Programmed Activities (PAs), with a non-resident on-call supplement. A formal job plan will be established, outlining the consultant’s duties and responsibilities across clinical, educational, and managerial domains, along with annual reviews. The Trust is open to considering modifications for those unable to commit to full-time work, ensuring a flexible approach to meet service demands.
