Velindre University NHS Trust is seeking a Programme Director of LEAN Improvement to lead service enhancement initiatives in preparation for the new Velindre Cancer Centre. The role involves training staff in LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies, developing and implementing service improvement plans, and working collaboratively across departments to analyze processes and inspire change. The post-holder will also be responsible for engaging with external experts, ensuring best practices are adopted, and integrating research opportunities within the framework of the Mutual Investment Model.

The Programme Director will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and various teams to ready all services for the transition to the new centre, highlighting the need for strong credibility, persuasion skills, and the ability to communicate complex problems clearly. Ultimately, the position aims to build and enhance the organisation's LEAN capabilities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within Velindre University NHS Trust.
