Kirkgate Surgery in Batley seeks an experienced Health Care Assistant (HCA) to cover maternity leave for approximately nine months. The HCA will work under the supervision of the senior practice nurse, providing essential support to the clinical team in delivering patient care. Key responsibilities include conducting health checks, phlebotomy, ECG recordings, managing laboratory samples, chaperoning patients, and maintaining surgical equipment. Additional tasks may involve stock ordering, assisting in minor operations, and promoting patient health and well-being.

The role emphasises confidentiality, health and safety, and infection control, requiring the HCA to adhere strictly to practice policies. The ideal candidate should demonstrate commitment to personal and professional development, effective communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and patients.
