An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Haematology directorate at the University Hospital of Wales as a Chemotherapy Treatment Coordinator. The Chemotherapy Treatment Coordinator will be responsible for providing a high standard of administrative support and a highly professional, patient-focused service to the directorate by ensuring patient chemotherapy treatment is scheduled according to approved protocols and cancer waiting time guidelines.
The post holder will work closely with various administrative teams and clinical staff to plan, develop and improve the chemotherapy service, including meeting and maintaining quality targets for the directorate. They will be responsible for a combination of patient facing duties and various administrative functions to ensure a seamless and high quality service is delivered for our patients.
The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Haematology directorate and will provide support in the proactivemanagement of the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly. The post holder will ensure highlevels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, patient-focused and highly knowledgeable point of contact on all chemotherapybooking related matters.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The post holder will need to be highly motivated, have a flexible approach to work and possess good organisational skills, plus be able todemonstrate excellent IT proficiency. Advanced communication skills will be required to facilitate effective working relationships between theclinical haematology team and colleagues across the organisation.
