Folkestone Eye Centre, an NHS community outpatient clinic run by Newton Place Surgery and local Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeons, is seeking a full-time Ophthalmology Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be passionate about healthcare, organized, empathetic, and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure patients are directed to the appropriate clinics.
  • Contact patients via various media regarding appointments.
  • Support clinic organization and adhere to patient needs.
  • Coordinate AMD referrals and HCQ clinic scheduling.
  • Create technician rotas for weekend clinics.
  • Handle patient inquiries about appointments.
  • Assist with feedback forms, reception cover, and monthly invoices.
  • Maintain stock control and support the Service Manager.

Working Conditions:

  • 37.5 hours per week with a rolling rota, including essential weekend work.
  • A dynamic work environment with diverse responsibilities.
