The Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist to join the Northcroft Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in Erdington. The role involves collaborating with a team of four other consultants to deliver comprehensive mental health care to adults over the age of 25, amidst ongoing community transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery, including access to psychological therapies and support for physical health and employment.

The consultant will provide medical leadership to redesign the Sutton CMHT into a multidisciplinary service, focused on addressing health inequalities and creating outreach strategies to meet the community's unmet needs. This position offers opportunities for involvement in service development, specialist interests, and can support a CESR application or lead to a substantive post for qualified candidates.
