The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Head of Patient Safety to lead their Patient Safety Team, assisting the Associate Director of Nursing in enhancing patient safety and overseeing the patient safety and tissue viability teams. The role involves managing a variety of clinical governance activities, driving quality improvement projects, and implementing the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) to improve patient outcomes. The successful candidate will be a seasoned clinical leader with experience in patient safety, responsible for providing strategic direction, expert advice, and tailored support to staff in order to effectively reduce adverse incidents and comply with Care Quality Commission standards.

This influential position requires collaboration with key stakeholders across the Trust, analysis of patient safety data, and the initiation of national safety initiatives. The Head of Patient Safety will actively contribute to the Trust's Quality Strategy, supporting the annual review of the Patient Safety Incident Response Plan and fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement in patient care.
