The Deputy Catering Manager at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust will support the Catering Operations Manager in overseeing patient catering services across all Trust sites. This role includes managing day-to-day operations, promoting service development, achieving performance targets, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. The position also involves line management responsibilities and primarily focuses on the Trust’s offsite kitchen facilities, while occasionally engaging with operations at the main hospital and other community locations.

Candidates with recent relevant experience, particularly internal Trust staff as well as those on 'Priority' or 'At Risk' status within the NHS in Devon, will be prioritized. This role is integral to managing a large-scale catering operation, serving over 1,000 patients and providing more than 3,000 meals while working within a substantial annual budget of over £3.5 million.
