The role of Deputy Lead Clinical Services Pharmacy Technician at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust involves leading a team of pharmacy technicians within the Emergency Department (ED) and Acute Medical Unit (AMU) at the William Harvey and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother hospitals. The position emphasises developing leadership and clinical skills while contributing to the ongoing service development in a dynamic team environment focused on enhancing patient care and outcomes.

As the Deputy to the Lead Clinical Pharmacy Technician, the post holder will manage the clinical activities of pharmacy staff, oversee recruitment, training, and development, and ensure the delivery of a high-quality, consistent clinical service across three hospital sites. The role also includes acting as a role model and providing professional support to team members, with a strong emphasis on collaboration within the multidisciplinary team to improve patient treatment experiences.
