Programme Manager with NHS England in London / Leeds

Working in NHS England's Cancer Programme, that's exactly what you'll do. Working in the NHS Cancer Programme, you will set the agenda for cancer services in England. Working with patients, clinicians, charities, Regions, Cancer Alliances, and trusts, our aim is to diagnose cancer earlier, increase survival and improve the quality of life and experience for cancer patients. We develop national policy and strategy and transform services for patients. We are looking for a Programme Manager to join the Cancer Vaccine team to lead on the establishment and running of the CVLP, a collaboration between NHS England, NIHR and Genomics England, which will enable identification of potential recruits into clinical trials for personalised mRNA immunotherapies. The platform is a company agnostic service and currently being expanded to incorporate more commercial partners and clinical trials. The UK Government and BioNTech have entered into an agreement to bring innovative vaccine research to the UK with the potential to transform outcomes for cancer patients. As part of this agreement NHS England will deliver a Cancer Vaccine Launchpad (CVLP), allowing NHS cancer patients to have early access to cancer vaccines, through flagship UK cancer vaccine trials. If you have experience of building new programmes from the ground up, alongside great communications and stakeholder management skills and a strong commitment to diversity and equality, we would love to hear from you. About us Primary responsibilities: Working with the Senior Programme Manager to ensure successful delivery of the Cancer Vaccine Programme including: Managing the day-to-day relationship with pharmaceutical companies that have partnered with the CVLP Delivery of contractual milestones for the CVLP Working with other NHSE teams to ensure infrastructure and resource requirements are in place to deliver for the CVLP Acting as a liaison between operational delivery partners Working with the Clinical Trial Unit to manage the day-to-day delivery of the CVLP including: Developing the protocols and standard operating procedures with key clinical, operational, and patient stakeholders. Monitoring delivery of the CVLP including site set up, recruitment and sample processing. Supporting the development and roll out of future adaptations to the CVLP. Managing project delivery nationally, including the development of project documentation, reporting and risk escalation. Running and supporting regular CVLP governance and working groups. Work productively with key stakeholders including clinicians, national NHSE teams, Genomics England, NIHR, Office for Life Sciences, Cancer Alliances, Royal Colleges, cancer charities and patients to ensure they are part of the design and delivery of Cancer Programme projects. Support work being undertaken across the wider innovation team to accelerating new innovations into standard practice.
