Are you passionate about improving the lives of people with cancer? Do you want to ensure more people survive cancer than ever before? Working in NHS England's Cancer Programme, that's exactly what you'll do.
Working in the NHS Cancer Programme, you will set the agenda for cancer services in England. Working with patients, clinicians, charities, Regions, Cancer Alliances, and trusts, our aim is to diagnose cancer earlier, increase survival and improve the quality of life and experience for cancer patients. We develop national policy and strategy and transform services for patients.
The Cancer Programme Team takes its responsibility to promote equality and diversity seriously. We respect colleagues from different backgrounds and embrace different cultural preferences in everything we do.
We are looking for a Programme Manager to join the Cancer Vaccine team to lead on the establishment and running of the CVLP, a collaboration between NHS England, NIHR and Genomics England, which will enable identification of potential recruits into clinical trials for personalised mRNA immunotherapies. The platform is a company agnostic service and currently being expanded to incorporate more commercial partners and clinical trials.
The UK Government and BioNTech have entered into an agreement to bring innovative vaccine research to the UK with the potential to transform outcomes for cancer patients. As part of this agreement NHS England will deliver a Cancer Vaccine Launchpad (CVLP), allowing NHS cancer patients to have early access to cancer vaccines, through flagship UK cancer vaccine trials.
If you have experience of building new programmes from the ground up, alongside great communications and stakeholder management skills and a strong commitment to diversity and equality, we would love to hear from you.
