The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) role within the Lambeth Older Adults Community Mental Health Team at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust offers an exciting opportunity for those eager to enhance their clinical leadership and management capabilities. The position targets motivated individuals dedicated to working with older adults facing complex mental health challenges in a dynamic community setting. The post holder will be instrumental in ensuring evidence-based, compassionate care delivery while supporting the Community Matron and Head of Nursing in maintaining quality standards aligned with CQC regulations and Trust values.

The CNS will possess advanced clinical expertise, lead training and development initiatives, and promote effective engagement strategies for service users and their families. Responsibilities include risk and medication management, conducting brief interventions, and fostering collaborative team dynamics. The role is pivotal in achieving positive clinical outcomes, conducting audits and research, and serving as a role model for best practices within the multidisciplinary team.
