Role supports the development of Resident Doctors by ensuring induction programs and shadowing opportunities are effectively managed.
Strong collaboration with various teams, including Medical Education and clinical leads, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the medical staffing landscape.
Active participation in maintaining compliance with important regulations such as the European Working Time Directive (EWTD) and New Deal requirements.
Possibility for personal development through ongoing training and participating in the Personal Development Review process.
Engagement in financial management tasks, providing valuable experience in budgeting and invoice processing within a healthcare setting.
Join our dedicated team as a Medical Staffing Assistant within the Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, located in the heart of Hatfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone organised and proactive, ready to provide vital administrative support for our medical staffing team. Working 37.5 hours a week, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring our resident doctors are aptly supported, as well as contributing to the overall efficiency of our healthcare service. We offer a hybrid working model, allowing for flexibility—though you will need to be in the office at least three days a week to collaborate with your team and maintain critical functions.

In this role, you will be responsible for a range of tasks that directly impact the experience of our medical workforce. From handling onboarding processes for new resident doctors to managing rotas and liaising with other departments, your contributions will help us maintain a high standard of care. You’ll also assist in the timely processing of locum cover and essential payments, ensuring our dedicated staff members are supported every step of the way.
