The role of a Rotational Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist at Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Chertsey involves providing high-quality care in various settings, including acute, rehabilitation, and voice services. The successful candidate will require a solid background in dysphagia and communication, particularly with stroke and neurological rehabilitation patients, and ideally have experience in community care and working with voice patients. The position includes rotations through multiple service areas, such as Hyper-Acute/Acute Stroke, Medical, ICU, and Neurorehabilitation, with opportunities for specialized training in interventions like videofluoroscopy and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing.
