East Cheshire NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Podiatrist to join its Community Podiatry Service on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. The role involves providing advanced clinical foot services, including routine podiatry, wound care, nail surgery, biomechanical assessment, and orthotic provision across various settings such as hospitals, community clinics, and GP surgeries. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Podiatry or equivalent, a Certificate in Local Anaesthesia, and have significant NHS and community experience. The position requires strong clinical, communication, and organisational skills, along with a commitment to personal and professional development.

The Specialist Podiatrist will be responsible for triaging, assessing, and treating referred patients, working in at least one specialist area. Additionally, the role includes supporting the development of Junior Podiatrists, assisting with daily clinic operations, and contributing to service improvement initiatives. Applicants must demonstrate a willingness to travel for the job and possess relevant professional qualifications. The position is part-time, offering 22.5 hours per week, and is open only to current staff and volunteers within the East Cheshire NHS Trust.
