The Bournemouth West Community Mental Health team is seeking a Band 6 Community Mental Health Practitioner or newly qualified Band 5 staff who are interested in developing their skills and moving into a Band 6 position upon successful completion of training. The role involves managing a caseload of patients with severe mental illnesses, delivering recovery-focused treatment plans, and providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals and their families. Candidates must possess strong communication and organisational skills, be committed to multi-disciplinary collaboration, and have recent experience in a mental health environment, including knowledge of the Mental Health Act.

This full-time position, based at the Turbary Park Centre, requires a valid driving license for home and community visits within the West Bournemouth locality. The role supports professional growth through structured management supervision and offers a comprehensive Preceptorship Programme for newly qualified nurses. Applicants must undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will be covered by the Trust. The position is not open to candidates requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK.
