This is a temporary Chef role at Barchester Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. The role involves delivering hotel/restaurant standards in a care home setting, with a focus on creating nutritious and flavoursome menus tailored to residents' needs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal produce, have a good work-life balance, and be part of a growing and investing organisation.

The Chef will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus, while working closely with residents to tailor the menus to their preferences. They will help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality dishes, and create a warm and efficient environment. The role also involves regular audits, stock control, and leading and motivating a team.

NEED TO HAVE

A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent Experience in helping lead and inspire a team A good understanding of nutrition Experience of working with fresh seasonal food The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home Good understanding of HACCP
