The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pharmacy & Ward Based Assistant for the Churchill pharmacy and renal team. This role is designed for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant looking to transition from a community setting into hospital pharmacy or advance their career within the hospital environment. While a Specialist BTEC Level 2 and Pharmacy Service Skills NVQ Level 2 are preferred, they are not mandatory, as support for obtaining these qualifications will be provided. The position offers a blend of both dispensing and multidisciplinary work, with key responsibilities including managing the dispensary, preparing emergency drug boxes, maintaining medication records, assisting with stock control, and engaging in customer service.

Candidates should possess strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and the initiative to work effectively as part of a team. Experience in pharmacy dispensing, familiarity with computer systems for stock control, and a passion for high-quality patient service are essential. The role is suited for individuals with either hospital pharmacy experience or those from community pharmacy seeking a new path in a hospital setting, where training opportunities will be available.
