The role of Advanced Specialist Pharmacist – Clinical Trials and Research at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in Cheadle involves supporting the development and management of clinical trials and research projects. Candidates should be UK registered pharmacists with hospital pharmacy experience, ideally possessing prior knowledge of clinical trials and GCP certification. This one-year fixed-term position includes responsibilities such as reviewing clinical trial protocols, overseeing clinical trial prescriptions, coordinating compliance with regulatory guidelines, and providing expert advice to multidisciplinary teams and research staff. The role also emphasises the delivery of comprehensive clinical pharmacy services and adherence to high standards of practice across multiple locations, including Cheadle Hospital and affiliated clinics.

Key responsibilities include the management of investigational medicinal products, patient counseling on trial-related medications, and ensuring efficient communication with sponsors and researchers. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, development of policies for safe medication management, and active involvement in trial preparations and inspections.
