The CAMHS Consultant role in Scunthorpe with Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, social workers, and therapists, to provide psychiatric care to children and adolescents. The service handles a significant volume of referrals, with an emphasis on thorough mental health assessments and coordinated care through weekly multidisciplinary meetings. The Consultant will engage in approximately 2-3 patient-related contacts per clinical session, which may include assessments, treatment appointments, and consultations.

Key responsibilities include offering psychiatric leadership, providing consultations, formulating care plans, and assessing complex cases or those at high risk. The Consultant will also work closely with the MDT and liaise with external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for young patients, with a focus on maintaining their well-being within established child protection and care frameworks.
