CLINICAL RESEARCH FELLOW in INFECTIOUS DISEASES
The Department of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine (ID) at Northwick Park Hospital and Ealing provides a comprehensive range of acute and outpatient services for patients with infection and is one the largest units in the UK.
The successful candidate will run a number of NIHR and externally funded studies on behalf of the department and will spend the rest of their time working on an original research project with the aim of achieving a peer reviewed publication.
The post is based at Ealing and Northwick Park Hospitals.
You will be supervised by Dr Ashley Whittington.
ID manages patients with TB at NPH and works closely with our respiratory colleagues at Ealing and Central Middlesex Hospital (CMH). NPH with Ealing and CMH looks after approximately 200 cases of active TB/year making the LNWH NHS Trust one of the largest TB centre in the UK. NPH is now a designated tertiary referral centre for complex and drug-resistant TB. We run 4 TB clinics across the 3 sites and a daily TB assessment service.
